Hopefully this has worked for you! I recently wired a fan to the FIdle output so the info was fresh in my mind!

Thanks to all for the replies.

I had disconnected the VR sensor and not re-connected it :oops: :oops: :oops:
Maybe i should have quadruple checked my wiring!

Heribert, thanks for the info on some diagnostics for the EDIS module. I will save it for if/when I have a problem with the module!

No RPM with EDIS

Hello,

I have recently started a new job, which means track/fun car has to turn into daily driver :( This meant re-fitting all the interior etc and re-wiring MS tidily underneath the dash.

After doing so, I have no RPM registering in MegaTune and this means of course, no injectors firing and a ...

I'm not too sure how good of a reply this will be, but here's my thoughts.....

If you just want FIdle to go high/low on power to megasquirt how about setting the Spare Port Settings as follows:

Enable PM2-FIdle

Variable batteryVoltage > 1

That should turn on/off FIdle whenever MS receives a ...

If by turning the key you mean, to the second 'click' without engaging the starter motor then thats perfectly normal!
Think priming pulse is the exact name for it, just removes possible air from the fuel lines.
As soon as you turn the key a bit more and starter goes, the fuel pump should run ...

As far as I know, only an unheated wideband sensor is damaged when left in the exhaust with the engine running. Just make sure the sensor is heated whenever the engine is running and it should be fine!

I ran into the same problem and found the only way to turn the test mode off was to change the number of squirts to 0 while the 'test' was running, this then stops the injectors firing. Then you can change the mode to normal, megatune beeps a couple of times then burn settings to ecu!
