Re: Need Help with my intake design

Hey guys...quick question

Where is the best place to run the MAP sensor hose to? My main concern is that I want to minimize MAP fluctuations caused by cam overlap and reversion in general.

I think there is a place on the throttle body, one of the nipple fittings just after the butterfly could be ...

Re: Need Help with my intake design

I think the issue may be with the proximity of the front ports to the opening. I'd be inclined to extend the plenum forward an inch or so and radius the opening to allow for a smooth transition.

This is the current throttle body adapter that will transition from the Infinity Q45 TB to the plenum ...

Need Help with my intake design

Hello all,

I've got a bit of a dilema with my intake design, and I'm finding this out after I have already designed and had most of the fabrication finished. The design is for a hot Mopar 360 and uses a tunnel ram base as the foundation. I am basically at the point of welding it up but I need to ...

Re: MAP Hose Diameter?

1/8".

I would put the MAP sensor tee on the plenum, but the IAT before the throttle body. An IAT in the plenum is more likely to heat soak and read hotter than the incoming air temperature.

So if I have a cold air tube running up to the throttle body then it is still ok to place the IAT in front ...

MAP Hose Diameter?

Hello All,

I am in the process of building my intake setup for my project and I need to know what diameter hose should I run from the vacuum port to the MAP sensor? The reason I need to know is because I need to order a weld on bung for my manifold and I need to know what size nipple to use for the ...

How to monitor fuel pressure?

Do I need to just mount a pressure gage on the fuel rail or is there a better way to do this?

Thanks!

Re: Question about my throttle body regarding Fast Idle

I do like the TB a lot, and they are dirt cheap!

I have one question though, where to find a pigtail for it?

Thanks!

Re: Fuel Press. Regulator Recomendations?

Without a doubt the Aeromotive unit is sexy, but not $160 worth of sexy! Will it make my car faster? Probably not. That's the question I ask. However I do like the AN fittings and that is one requirement I must fill. The Reg. must have an or npt fittings that I can adapt to AN.

I do like the ...

Impact shut off switches

I found an impact shut off switch for a mustang. Is this possible to use to wire my fuel pump? Does anyone have any suggestions on a switch I should use?

Question about my throttle body regarding Fast Idle

I am going to be using a throttle body from a Q45. It is a very large (90mm) throttle, and has some interesting features. One of them is an integrated fast idle feature. The way it works is that it has two adjustable contact points for idle adjustment. One is the standard arrangement for hot idle ...

Re: Fuel Press. Regulator Recomendations?

Of course, I should have divulged more info...

My project is a small block Mopar, 360 ci v8. It should be in the 400-450 hp range. Right now it is naturally aspirated, but I may go with a supercharger or a turbocharger in the long run. I am using port injection with 8 30lb injectors.

Again, I'm ...

Fuel Press. Regulator Recomendations?

I am trying to select a fuel press. regulator and there are so many out there I can't tell the junk stuff from something that will work well. I am not interested in bling so much as I am function. Do any of you have any suggestions for a regulator that I should use? Of course it wouldn't hurt my ...
