i think whats happening, there is fuel and its running rich, but since its a o2 sensor, telling me im 9-10:1 as it goes from 22 down to 9 when cranking, it's gotta be just the lack of oxygen, , even after start up, it hovers around 11:1 , after aw hile goes to the 14's, ,

still having some issues. got a 130amp alt vs 65amp stock, all new ground wires, it takes a while to start up when cold, maybe too much fuel, or no spark, it will misfire on startup , i have a good battery, and alt,, afr will go down to 9-10 when cranking, have to tap the gas for it to fire, but ...

i setup my tach as it shows in this http://www.megamanual.com/ms2/EDIS.htm "very bottom of the page" it works but at lower speeds the needle either bounces and is lower or doesn't show anything, but it's accurate when u rev it up.

my crank wheels seems to wobble a bit, it's definite noticeable , could this be throwing my idle off, , how perfect does the wheel need to be, because i had a shop weld it on., .

when i have it idle higher it still is pretty hard to get started, gotta hold it 5 seconds or more, and i gotta tap the throttle a little, sometimes it'll just fire then die and i'll have to crank it a few more times ,shuts off if i turn lights on, or heater/brake lights. unless i hold the rpms up ...

i hope not, i had them rebuilt last year lol, maybe injector cleaner,

is it possible that edis is making a spark before i even crank and leftover fuel in my intake manifold is igniting, i get a really loud pop when my car sits for a while all i do is turn the key to ign without cranking it. , and there's not visually wrong,

when battery says 12.7v megatune says 13.1-13.3 and keeps bouncing, at 14.2v battery megatune reads 14.9v


i didn't get it to stall out this time. but idle kept flucuating when i turned all accessories on.

sometimes it'll stall when i put my headlights on, it usually happens during warm up

is it possible that the fuel pump power source would be 16-18gauge wire? i tried to activate that wire with 9v battery to see if it was the fuel pump relay wire. and i got nothing., in the diargram it does show it as the power side of the relay i guess.

i have a 86 cressida with ms2 3.57 running for a while now, i had to run direct power to the fuel pump wire to turn it on, im pretty sure it's the relay wire it's pretty thin 16-18gauge wire,. if i try to use the pink fp wire off ms it won't run, is there a setting in the ecu to control the fp turn ...

lol, it was just a backwards vr sensor, my mistake of color matching the wires from the harness to the vr sensor wires.. ,

original edis module was bad though, thing almost melted when i'd turn the key on. .

well, thing is, before i was adjusting pot meters r52 and r56 to get a better signal off my toyota distributor, and i adjusted them quite alot, i thought they would stop turning at some point but they keep going.. so how can i tell where i have to have them.

ya it was bad, i just got a new module. it shows rpm on the first crank only and rpm goes up to 136rpm then stops reading.

module isn't getting hot anymore either.,

you said r52 and r56 has no effect on this setup right?

ok, this is wierd, the edis controller box is getting very hot when i plug it in,, i checked the wires and they're exactly like this

im running edis 6 on my ms2 v3.57, and i dont seem to be getting any signal, wiring is exactly as shown on the diagram, i took a voltmeter to pin 24 as wel, it shows 12v, when i crank it drops, but stays 1 voltage, it should change voltage right?, could this be from sensor polarity, tho it is wired ...
