I'm in sort of the same boat though. I've got a HEI (Early Rx7) distributer. When I installed my MSD 6A I removed the ignitor and connected the MSD's "signal/trigger" wire directly to the hall sensor.
When I see the MSD diagrams in the megamanual I notice the have the ignitor ...
