Re: Help with high idle

Well.....since I attempted to plug the vacuum leaks things have gone a little crazy.....

The idle RPM,AFR, MAP, EVERYTHING except throttle position look like they are riding a roller coaster lol. I have attached a log and MSQ used for the log......not sure where to go from here.

Thanks

Re: Help with high idle

That's probably the same iac the fast unit uses.....I'm having to research which iac it is because I bought my tbi second hand without sensors.

Re: Help with high idle

If your IAC is this one i found online then i dont think so. The IAC for the fast is from a LS era IAC valve which is still 4 wire, but slightly different i believe.

Re: Help with high idle

Hi Ken I uploaded your MSQ and I have to say MS Extra looks like the real deal. I kind of like the simplicity of the B&G firmware, but I like the control and the diagnostic tools that the extra code offers.

By the way I had multiple vacuum leaks lol.

Thanks again,
Brad

Re: Help with high idle

Ken,

I see you are using a similar TBI setup to mine, any tips or tricks to setting fueling? Did you find simultaneous squirts or alternating squirts to work better for you etc..

Thanks,
Brad

Re: Help with high idle

Thanks for the reply Ken. I have the throttle blade stop screw adjusted so the blades are full closed, but I think I may have an issue with the gasket between the intake and tbi. I'll check it out and see if that helps.

Thank you,
Brad

Running Direct Coil Control and autometer tach

This may be an easy one, but I'm running a two wire vr sensor distributor with DCC and was wondering if I can use the coil neg. wire to feed DB37 and the autometer tach.

Re: First Timer MS2 Assembly

Hi Trakkies,

Thanks for the reply. Is the code that I would need to load on my processor here "http://www.msextra.com/downloads/" under Megasquirt 2 extra code? How should I go about downloading it?

Thanks,
Brad

Re: First Timer MS2 Assembly

Hi Matt,

I have the MS2 set up for the VR circuit. (TACHSELECT-VRIN) (TSEL-VROUT) (IGBTOUT-IGN). I am wanting to use a 36-1 wheel with a hall sensor with coil packs. I know I need to constructing duplicates of this BIP373 circuit, so theres a few more components I need to add, but if I wired the ...

Hi Mach4,

Did you ever get your problem solved? Who did you send your MS too after all. I'm having issues as well and may have to go that route.

Thanks,
Brad

Hello,

I have decided to take the plunge and put together a MS2 V3.0 and I am running code version 2.92. The assembly seemed to be going well up until step# 66 with all the simulator (V2.2) pots working correctly in tuner studio so on to completion I went. After the case was fully assembled I ...
