Assuming you do not want to run any hoses, you might be able to fab a clip on fitting that would encompass the injector's upper o-ring and have a compression fitting on the opposite end for the fuel line. I have seen an aluminum housing, that contains the injector, that is similar to this, but I do not remember where I saw it. Online through MS research is the most I can offer you about it for now.woodwright wrote:I would like to run stainless, or polished hardlines to the injectors, instead of fuel rails, like some diesels

Standard Carb manifold, like a victor jr. or performer
Autonomics throttle body with the injector holes plugged
Enderle Injector ball port check bodies
Stainless hardlines from these that run around behind the throttle body to distribution blocks with the injectors. Probably two blocks with four lines each that are bank fired.
Any thoughts on streetability? Isn't this really similar to vortec cpi but with better components?

Re: Alittle different
I'm in the research and planning stage of my project, and I had a question or two. I would like to build a mpfi system using an autonomics throttle body, but I would like to run stainless, or polished hardlines to the injectors, instead of fuel rails, like some diesels. I've seen the SDS weld in injector bungs with the little cap on the top, but at $40 a pop, those are out of the question. I happened onto Enderle Fuel injection, and from what I can tell from the pictures, they have a jetted nozzle at each port, with hard lines that run back to a manifold block with one big injector. I would think a guy could fab up something like this pretty easily, and have it look really trick. Would something like that work? You could have 2 or 4 small manifolds hidden behind the throttle body with the injectors, and you would really reduce the amount of wiring running all over. Any thoughts?
There is a ‘standard’ brass fitting that fits an injector O-ring perfectly, it’s a 5/8†compression fitting, and they are available to adapt to pipe also. You’d have to do some mods to make a clip to hold the injector, though.Assuming you do not want to run any hoses, you might be able to fab a clip on fitting that would encompass the injector's upper o-ring and have a compression fitting on the opposite end for the fuel line. I have seen an aluminum housing, that contains the injector, that is similar to this, but I do not remember where I saw it. Online through MS research is the most I can offer you about it for now.

Some have a single injector with tubes, some have individual injectors for each tubes. I have one of these at home, and it would take a unique/ingenious fitting in an intake manifold to hold the retainer clips in, they snap into a recessed ring (easy to cast in, not so easy to machine in for a different application). IMO, they are too expensive for retrofitting to a V8, hard to locate as the hoses require a central mounting spot (right where the TB would be), and not as flexible for the HP range they can feed. Here is some more info on 3 of these GM systems (scroll down the page).I don't recall the year that GM put an EFI system on their V6's that only had 1 electronic injector, (located under the intake manifold), and then distribution lines to the injectors located in the intake manifold, but they did indeed make it. You might be able to modify a system like this to work with MS, since it is a batch fuel injection system.

What about one of these? It’s not port injection but it’s all self-contained and could be hidden under an aircleaner if you choose.
