no injector trigger after tuning warmup

Post by katok »

Hi ,
I'm using MS2 V3 in toyota engine and the engine run fine.
Lately , Im tuning the Warmup wizard in megatune
I have slowly decrease the value from 100 down to 65 then suddenly
my engine stop. I try to crank it few time but still not starting.
The communication of megatune to MS2 is fine.
I have check the fuel pressure ,spark and it okay.
Then found out that there is no trigger on the injector.

Is decreasing the value in warmup wizard effect in my injector circuit?
Is the transistor driver of injector in my ms2 is fried?
any suggestion?

thanks.

100 percent means no enrichment, so you shouldn't decrease it below 100.

Do you see RPM when you crank the motor?

Ok, please post a copy of your MSQ file and a data log of it cranking, I'll have a look at them.

Looks like it "thinks" things are going OK, but they aren't. Do the injector LEDs work on a Stimulator?

Hi Matt,
I have no stimulator right now,but I have confirm that there is no trigger in the injector.I make an LED with resistor on anode then put in the injector socket. Cathode of LED connected to MS injector output then the anode of LED to the +12v supply. Then I try to start the engine and no pulse on the LED while cranking.

Should I check the Mosfet injector driver ?

thanks,

Looks like it's time to check the injector drivers then. This won't be easy without a Stim or oscilloscope, but you could use a test LED to do this.

Hi,
I tested my ms2 today and still finding what is the cause of no injector trigger output.
I have no oscilloscope so I used test LED to do this. I dont see any trigger pulse on the Gate of the Injector mosfet while cranking.

I updated and load new code (v2.890.abs.s19) to the MS2 chip .
The downloader 2.0 confirms that I have succesfully loaded new code

But when i run the megatune, it won't communicate with my MS2.

I will check my other settings tommorow.
What is the symptoms of a bad MS2 processor?

Be sure you've also set MegaTune to work with the new code's INI file. If you have the wrong INI, it won't communicate.

Looks like it loaded correctly the first time but then tried reloading the firmware. Try it again, but don't touch anything on the PC after opening the file until it says "verification succeeded," and then close the program.

Hi,
I found the problem why there is no trigger output on my MS2 .I found that here is no +12v supply on IC U4 (IXDI404PI).
I see burnt traces in front of C14 ,this traces is connected after D3 . I found out that the C14 (4.7uf) capacitor is shorted.
I replace it and now my MS2 is working great and back to normal.
Thank you all for you're support.
