High RPM Problem BMW M20 Engine

hi I hava installed megasquirt v3.57 on my car it is m20 bmw engine everything seems working nice except the rpm is being monitored on the megatune 2.25 is too much for example while driving the car at 3000 3500 rpm it show 7000 something doubled... What could be the possible reason for that... I have hall effect crankshat position sensor...

Try putting a 10K resistor inline with the crankshaft position sensor wire. That often clears up spike issues.
