Oh, by the way, that's me in front and I won the race.

It was sure great to finally meet and talk to the people here in the NW that are working on their projects. As well as Bruce, Al and Lance. It was good to hear what was coming as well as the reason behind some feature. I'd like to thank Al for lunch, sure wasn't expecting that.

Since it looks like we have a good number of people here in the Western Washington that have projects, we need to come up with a mini-meeting ourselves, maybe share some ideas on things tried, etc....

To clarify a huge misconception - it was Lance who paid for the lunch.

For me it was reassuring to see that other people have the same viewpoint when it comes to programming as I do. I've had several classes on various languages but I still confront them with the same bewilderment as if I was just discovering programming. I can usually "figure it out" but it can take me longer that I assume it should take.

I'm not good with programming, and never claimed to be. But once I see code that works, can usually change it to get it to do what I really want. Now when it comes to adding "features" I may look like the proverbial deer in the headlights.

I posted a bit of a synopsis of the meet for the Neon guys on the Neon forum, I could link you to that, if you're interested, but it is a bit slanted towards what those guys are interested in from the MS world.. :)
