2332 Turbo Timing theories

I am running a 2332 EFI turbo motor and was wondering what timing you other turbo guys are running?

Idle?

cranking?

No load cruising ?

Full boost 15 psi (light buggy)?

theory is high vacuum is high vacuum, turbo or non turbo.

TDC for starting.

Whatever the engine likes for idle.

is this a VW based engine? what compression? what cam shaft? how much fly wheel?

i read on this list the advice to tune the engine for highest vacuum at idle. I have been thinking about that comment for a while, and it sure makes a LOT of sense to me.

yes its an air cooled VW. 2332cc. I did finally tune for the highest vacuum. It does run better. Actually starts at the touch of the key. Now I have an over rich condition at 5500 or so, working on that now. Boy it sure takes a long time to make one change at a time ! !
