V-Twin Development?

Post by Fritzables »

Hi All,

I have a Honda VTR1000F that I wish to develop and convert it to ECU which will control both Fuel & Timing (eventually).
The VTR is a 1000cc water-cooled V-Twin that has CDI only.

I see there are a number of MegaSquirt products I can buy.

I would like to assemble my own system using the MegaSquirt as my base and add additional features as I move along.

What is the suggested starting point for such a project but gives me the capability of expansion?

megasquirt 2. I'd contact the folks at diy auto, one of the megasquirt vendors.

it should do your fuel and spark.

microsquirt is built for motorcycles and the like, but I don't think you can build it yourself. I might be wrong though.
