newbie chevy tpi setting. not idling good help.

newbie chevy tpi setting. not idling good help.

i have a stock chevy 350 with a 24lbs injectors. and I using tach signal from a big hei. Only running fuel. It doesn't want to idle right. Also it have a small hesation when i press on the gas. Could any one check to see if i have the settings right on megasquirt.

Need more details. What kind of AFRs at idle? Hesitation is a result of poor AE tuning assuming your VE table is tuned well. I notice you're running a huge 200%/s TPSdot threshold which is a big part of that hesitation.
95 Dakota, 5.2, 5 speed, 4x4, Holset H1C (Remote) 8PSI, MS2/Extra (fuel only), 42lb Bosch Design 3 Injectors, AEM UEGO.

i updated the msq with the one that DIYAutoTune has on its website for a tbi. I just change it for 8 injector setup. Also a a did a datalog.

What Wide Band Air/Fuel Ratio device are you using?

narrow band. Does any one have a msq file for a stock tpi.

I agree with Hahns. I have run the same setup before with good success. I have a couple msq's (1-fuel only and 1-with hei) that I will have to look for so that could take some time. In the mean time a log would be helpful.

Try a little less advance and a little more fuel. I'm pretty sure stock TPI motors did not idle at stoich very well.

I agree with Matt. My tpi certainly needed more fuel at idle.

from what i found:

you have 24's but config has 30's in injector control
dwell is 3.5, try range od 2-2,5
