I need help deciding on which way to go.

Is anyone Running an OBDII 2L ABA throttle Body with MSnS?

I picked up the whole engine for spare parts and was looking at the TB. I have a 96 ABA (which I assume is an OBDII) and it looks like the TB has a Stepper for Idle Air Control integrated with the TPS.

Just wondering if anyone is using this and has wired up the stepper for IAC. I have an Automatic Corrado TB (which has the TPS and Supercharger Boost return built on it) that I can use, for my G60 but am considering using this single Butterfly ABA TB and stepper instead of the G60 dual butterfly with the external PWM (ISV). I know I would have to integrate a boost return or alike and adapt the bolt pattern, but am not worried about that. I have an Audi 5k intake that I would be modding anyway if I decide to stay 8v head.

Any comments are welcomed on this in addition to the Single Butterfly TB vs dual.

Also, if anyone has the wiring diagram for the ABA Throttle Body it would be breatly appreciated. I saw an older post response from T3Bunny, but it looked like he may have just emailed someone the diags.

I have a 1998 2.0L ABA "Crossflow" engine with the TB that you described. Here's a pic:



I'm planning on using that for my idle control with megasquirt. The idle motor is built into the throttle body like you said, but I think it has seperate circuitry from the TPS. I'm not totally sure because I haven't hooked it up yet. All I know about it is that if the idle motor goes bad you need an entire new throttle body which is very expensive.
