EDIS CTO as tach input to MS2

Hello. I've recently finished building an MS2 on a v3 board so I can replace by carbs and MJLJ ignition, but still using the EDIS. I am using a TPS for load on the MJLJ but with the MS I want to use MAP. So I have been trying to log RPM, MAP and TPS using the MS. To this end I have spliced into the PIP signal and the TPS signal and got a vacuum connection to one inlet tract. However, the MJLJ doesn't seem to like sharing the signals and I suspect its the PIP it is mainly objecting to.
So can I safely connect the Clean Tacho Out (Pin 11) on the EDIS 4 to the PIP input I am using on the MS without any modification? This then only risks my tacho not working properly. At this stage I am not trying to control anything, just use the MS so I can log data.
Thanks,
Chris
(I have build the MS2 on the v3 board according to the official instructions and have not made any mods - just chose the options for EDIS spark control as building)
