i am new here and would like some advice

i am building a jeep 4.7 liter stroker
i will be using an msd 6a ignition box and stock jeep ford style distributor

i would lite to know witch of the MS would fit more my application

MS-I v2.2 or v3

i also would like to know if in using the v3 do i need to use the steeper IAC

this a for an off road application and the sensor will all be GM based

Ok, is this a Jeep 4.7 SOHC V8 that's being stroked to something bigger, or one of their pushrod inline sixes that's been stroked to 4.7 liters? There's going to be a big difference between the two. Also, are you going to be using the Megasquirt to control the ignition, or just fuel?

this a jeep Inline 6 4 liter with a amc 258 crank and connecting rods

the ignition will be controlled mechanicaly ( ei it uses a distributor) so i guess just fuel

i wonder if i use the v3 of the MS-I will i be foreced to use the IAC or is there some way of bypassing this feature

Ok, fuel only and an inline six is pretty straightforward.

If you're using the Jeep IAC, you'll need an MS-II. If you are removing the IAC and propping the throttle open, using an on/off IAC, or maybe getting a Bosch IAC out of a junkyard, you could use an MS-I.

can i use the IAC that u sell for jeeps i believe that my original block comes form i think that i will get MS I v3.0.

will the MSI v3 use the IAC??

or do i need a MSII for that feature

You will need MS2 for stepper motor control.
