IAC Revving Motor

Just finished building an MS-II, V3, 2.88. I am replacing a Holley Commander. I have it running and idling now. Problem I am having is that the IAC is randomly opening up causing the engine to rev up. I watched the IAC pintle while it was idling and it just drives open and stays open then randomly drives closed. Any ideas on what is going on?

Thanks.

You might need to change your IAC to 15 minute, always moving, or something else to make it work properly. Also, be sure your total closing steps are slightly more, (10%), than the number of steps you have specified.

First of all, is this set-up on a Ghia? If it is, I'd love to see it. 8)
The reference I was making to the steps is in the manual, but I'll try to explain what I meant in my post.
Let's say I have 200 steps from fully open to fully closed. I have set the total number of steps used by the IAC temp tables to 220. This ensures that the IAC is fully closed when completely warmed up. This may not work on all IAC steppers, but it worked on the one I was adjusting. I'm also set to 15 minute warmup.
