Agressive MAPdot Accel Enrichment

Post by Southcross »

I'm hoping someone sees this soon... I have to take the car on a long drive on Sunday...

I discovered that my low end drivability issue is from the lack of acceleration enrichment... so I guess that means I'm close to being done tuning. I discovered that if I artifically richened up my mixture I gained torque on rapid throttle increase... but then ran super rich.

I haven't played with MAPdot accel enrichment.... I also am doing all my tuning solo, so I don't have anyone to monitor and make adjustments.

What are some good aggressive acceleration settings... I have the follow settings setup and will begin experimenting tomorrow.
I'd love any user data/feedback... reading about it only gets me so far

MAP only (no TPS)
Audi/VW 4-cyl 2.0L 8v, 8.5-9.0:1 compression (I'm getting conflicting numbers, theoretically it should be 9:1)
T3 Turbo, Wastegated at 7psi, can fully spool by 2200 rpm.
Aftermarket AutoTech 270* camshaft
Aftermarket HD valve springs and titanium retainers... valvetrain good to 8K rpms

I've started to experiment with accel enrichment this afternoon... those numbers were WAY off. Caused Severe hesitation on sudden acceleration. I decreased the numbers incrementlly down (all the way) to 10% of those numbers and achieved a drivable tune. I'll try to tweak it a little more this weekend.

I'm curious to see your results. I have had a problem with boost triggering my MAP accel and dumping gross amounts of fuel into the engine, causing it to pop and miss until I got it out of the boost range. I have switched to TPS accel only, but have not taken the time to tune it much since.
