TFI Ignition RPM reading, but no spark.

I am running a MS-II V3.0 Code version 2.888. Also Ford TFI Ignition.
I have a working RPM reading of 180 (cranking) in mega tune, but no spark. TRYING to get Trigger offset working but no spark thus no timing light. I have follwed the wiring diagrams on the ford TFI section in mega manual and the wiring diagram of the external wiring for V3.0. Coil has power ( attached to MS-II Power relay) and Coil NEG is attached to PIN# 2 on my TFI ignition modual. the PIP (Pin#6 on the TFI) goes to PIN# 24 on the MS-II. Then the SPOUT ( PIN#5 on the TFI) goes to PIN#36 on the MS-II. I am confused as to PIN #4 on the TFI, it is currently not connected, should it be? Please let me know if you need more information, and thanks for helping me out!.....SO CLOSE!
Here are the pages Im looking at!

Do you get spark if you pull the SPOUT connector?

I have lots of spark now. What is my next move? Or is this a final solution?

Could you upload a copy of your MSQ? This suggests it's a settings issue, or maybe hardware.

Here is my MSQ, Im sure that it isnt correct as this can be a bit overwellming at times! Thanks a ton for the help! Let me now what I need to do next!

Settings look OK - how exactly do you have your board modified?

Ok, I have jumpers at, XG2 to XG1, Tsel to OPTOOUT, TACH SEL to OPTOIN, IGN to IGBOUT, and I have a 100 ohm resistor at IGN to S12. Anything else your looking for more specifically? Thanks for the quick response!

What is JS10 jumpered to?

JS 10 is Jumpered to IGBTIN,
Whats next?
Thanks again,

Can you get the ignition LED pulsing on the Stim?

Yes everything seems to be working very well on the stim.

Wait! I have made an error I re hooked up the stim, My left LED (closest to the Serial port) is blinking on what appreas to be each injection, My second LED is on and off depeding on what I do with my RPM and the right on doesnt turn on. What are the LED's represtenting? Sorry about the confusion.

They're injection pulse, acceleration enrichment, and warm-up mode, respectively. You might want to try substituting a 470 ohm resistor for the 100 ohm pull-up.

Matt,
I replaced the 100ohm with a 470 ohm and still no luck with Spout connected.

Thanks again for all the help and quick responses! Is there any direction you can send me as to why I am having these issues? Is there anything else you would like to know, to help you, help me?

This is getting a bit strange. Do you have an oscilloscope? Any other tools you could use for troubleshooting?

Matt,
I dont own one personally but if need be in desperation I can get access to one at the local high school, I am friends with a few teachers. I have your basic multimeter other than that I can find the tool if I need it. I am wondering, and a fellow local megasquirter has asked me this, should I be better off trying to aviod the TFI all together? Megasquirt has a tach signal, so should I be able to drive the coil directly, or is this the same circuit that is trying to drive the TFI? I hope Im making sense. I would like to try and rectify the problem I have with the TFI but If I need to I will explore other means. Please let me know your proffesoinal opinion.

It's possible you may have a CCD version of the TFI module, where the ECU controls the dwell. Try changing the settings as if you were controlling the coil directly; I believe the CCD version needs that signal. If that doesn't work, you can have the MS fire the coil directly, bypassing the SPOUT wire.

Matt,
Now that you mention dwell, I have found that when ever I try and change dwell in mega tune my dwell gauge reads a multiple of 3 times or 4 times the MAX DWELL I have set in mega tune, (Dont know if that helps you), What settings would I be chaging as if I were to control it directly? The ones about rising edge and standard coil charge? If I were to run the coil directly I would then leave these new settings and run the wire that currently goes to my SPOUT and run it directly to COIL NEG? Thanks for purservering!
