ok I have a ms2 with the 3.57, in a cavalier with a 3.4 I just finished the swap. now the coolant temp alwase reads 180F

the thermistor table is as folows

the bias resistor is set at 2490

-20f = 50000 ohlms
25 f = 5220 ohlms
212f =177ohlms

the wire is now unpluged at the ms2 and if I ground the pin it reads like 300f

im thinking its a leak to ground in either the C6 or the C7(i beleave these are capacitors), does any one know how to check them? or have any ideas? thanks

Does the coolant temperature adjust correctly on a Stimulator?

Try backprobing the coolant temperature sensor - what voltage do you read there? And does it change with temperature?

I would stick various resistors into the connector in place of the sensor to see what reading you get. If you go open circuit it goes to some default temperature, which is less meaningful. You can also test your sensor with an ohm-meter and ice-water, boiling water, etc.
