Megasquirt logging only at first

hall effect sensors output more of a squarewave, processing the low level signals inside the sensor. The VR will have to send a relativly low level signal that needs amplifying and "cleaning up" ath the MS. -- So I would think that the Hall would be a more reliable signal.

In MT under menu item FILE select DATALOGGING. It will create a log file with an XLS extension which you can view using MegalogViewer

MS will be fine running with no outputs loaded. Mine has spent more hours running on the bench than in the car with no problems.
