think i got injector problens

Post by snake »

i have a 87 rabbit just freshen up the block slightly and put itbs on it. i built the board myself. it is a ms2 v3. what i cant get is that when i go to fire the car it will crank ant run but it will only run for about 5 seconds then it is like it is starving out. i am trying to do alpha n. but i stimed the board out about 2 months ago then put it in the car and had it kind of piggybacked to make sure everything was working right. everything worked right in tuner studio when i checked it. it had a good tach signal in the injector led would flash good to. now it seams that the injector led is dieing out when the motor starts to shut down. if any one can help it would be much appreciated. i need to get this car going again. thanks

Could you post a data log of it cranking, along with your MSQ file? This may just be a matter of tuning it.

I don't see any big indication of hardware problems; it's more likely it simply needs fine tuning. Try pulling a spark plug after a failed start and see if they're wet with fuel.

ok i got it to run today but its still giving me trouble when im tryin to start it. when i got it up to temp got it idling it would fire right back up. i left it set cleaned the plugs up and went back an then it would not fire up an stay running. in order to get it to started today i had to knock the pwm up to 50 then i was able to drop it back down to once i got it running. the next time in order to get it running i had to do the same thing jump the pwm up to 50. i got a data log and the current msq.
