The MegaSquirt Project has experienced explosive growth other the years, with hundreds of new MS installations occurring every week - a phenomenal success! MegaSquirt has been successfully used in all aspects of Internal Combustion engine applications including R&D, Industry, Race, and Research. The MS project has transformed itself from a simple R&D project into a full-featured mature engine control system. To reflect this the support structure has also changed to meet the needs of MegaSquirt Users.
Moving forward, the R&D forums for MegaSquirt project are in a read-only mode - no new forum posts are accepted.
However the forums will remain available for view, they still contain a wealth of information on how MegaSquirt works, how it is installed and used. Feel free to search the forums for information, facts, and overview. While the R&D forum traffic has slowed in recent years, this is not at all a reflection of Megasquirt users, which continue to grow year after year. What has changed is that the method of MegaSquirt support today has rapidly moved to Facebook, this is where the vast majority of interaction is happening now. For those not on Facebook the msextra forums is another place for product support. Finally, for product selection assistance, all of the MegaSquirt vendors are there to help you select a system, along with all of the required pieces to make it complete.

If your question is about troubleshooting, configuration, or tuning, you MUST include your processor type (MS-I or MS-II) and code version in your post. If your question is about PCB assembly or modifications, you must also include the main board version number (1.01, 2.2 or 3.0). I just tried to start my car for the first time in 10 days or so (it had been running fine for a couple of years prior to that) and have zero power to the fuel pump. Tracing it back through the system, I've found that I am definitely getting 12v switched to the relay (the engine will crank), and that all the fuses on the relay board are fine. However, when turning on 12v switched, I detect no power going into the fuel pump fuse. Does this sound like a problem with a relay perhaps? I went ahead and rotated the relays around and re-tested, but couldn't find any combination that delivered power to the fuel pump. I'm running an MSII V3 in conjuntion with the relay board. Thanks in advance for your ideas and input.
Fuel Pump will have a short priming cycle of 2 or 3 seconds when the key is first turned on. will not start running again untull it receives RPM signal from distributor.
I know that the fuel pump only stays on for a couple of seconds, but if I recall correctly it will do that 3 second on-period each time you turn on the key. The pump is not turning on at all, even for only 2-3 seconds.
Can you hear the FP relay click on and off? Do you have a stim to check it on? Can you hook it up to megatune and see what state the cpu has it in? Or maybe a voltmeter to just check the FP wire as it comes out of the case at the MS. If the fuse is ahead of the relay in the fp circuit the problem is definitely wiring or traces.
Good luck!
