Choosing a VR sensor

I'm getting rid of the Delco distributor in favor of a VR sensor and trigger wheel. I've got the wheel mounted and am looking for an appropriate sensor. I was looking at the Honeywell 3030s20. Is this a good choice or should I use one with a lower peak to peak voltage? That one is rated at 190 Vp-p.

Why not use a hall effect one? Same output regardless of speed.

I already have the interface IC (NCV1124) and it can handle a wide variety of signal levels (when configured). What I'm asking isn't whether to use a VR or Hall Effect but what advantages are there to different VR sensors. Has someone studied this?
