Hi all, First of all happy new year to all.

I have a problem, I have the MS 2 v3, and I am confused which software to use. I mean I can load different softwares which came as standard with the V2.25 download. The main tabs are different etc.
If I want to use my ecu on a toyota 5efte engine with a T2.8 (18 psi boost) turbo and 440cc injectors, can anyone tell me which program of megasquirt do I need to use please.
I was looking in tuning MAP VS RPM.


P.S My MS was bought as a kit and it was soldered by a friend - which he guaranteed that its 100% perfect, and that I believe him.
Since I am a new beginner on the MS 2, I think that this will not be my first post .

I would start here http://www.megamanual.com/ms2/code.htm and use the 2.88 code, there is no code for any specific build it needs your input and tuning to tailor the code for your application. Read read read take your time and read the manual and become familiar with it there is lots of info. Do you have a stim http://www.DIYAutoTune.com/catalog/prod ... ucts_id=30 this will help in a lot of ways testing code and MSII if you think there is a problem.

I did go trough the manuals but I get confused since I don’t even know exactly which board do I have. (The problem was I bought this ECU like 2 years ago and I could not install it, and know I got time and started the project again, therefore I lost every data I had on copy and in mind - and know new thing got out, and others are updated and I cant get my mind st8 again.).

So you said to use the 2.88 code, is that number the same that gets displayed when you connect the MS, because mine is 2.86. Do you think I should update?
And still may I ask, if I keep the V 2.86 is there specific software for V2.86 or if I update is there a software for the V2.88?

And yes I do have the Mega stim its V2.2. When I connect to the laptop I see that battery is ok, fuel pump working and TPS working, even I did some tests on running the Stim with an external distributor and all was good. (therefore I think I don’t have any trouble with the ecu.) I just got confused with all the different types of GUI softwares.
