More coil voltage?

I'm running MS2 with spark control on my turbo 2276 cc ACVW burning E85. Last year my aftermarket coil took a dump and I switched back to a stock "Bosch Blue" coil. Happiness followed.
Yesterday I looked up the specs for that coil and discovered that it outputs 17K volts. I also understand that the stock ignition system cannot support a higher output coil. However, with MS2 controlling my spark, I should be able to step up to a hotter, higher voltage, coil. My questions:
1). Can I run a 45K volt, oil filled, MSD coil with MS2?
2). Would it really be that advantagous to switch to a larger coil, (and 8mm. wires likely), or just leave it alone.
3). Should I increase the spark plug gap if I increase the coil ouptup voltage?

If it makes any difference: I'm running a, (pertronix), hall effect pickup in the locked dizzy that fires my coil through the coil wire to the dizzy, and through to the plugs via the rotor and plug wires, (just like stock, only with MS2 controlling the timing). :)
If upgrading the coil seems like a good idea, I'll try it, and, maybe later, upgrade to a VR sensor and 36-1 wheel on the crankshaft pulley.

As long as it can work with inductive ignitions; some MSD coils may be CDI-only.

If you're not getting spark blowout issues under boost, you can leave it alone.
3). Should I increase the spark plug gap if I increase the coil ouptup voltage?
This may help if you are having to run a very tiny gap. If the gap is somewhere reasonable, I'd probably leave it where it is.

I have had spark issues under boost, in fact, so I think an upgrade is necessary.
I hadn't even considered whether this is a CDI or inductive coil.
This is what the installation instructions read:

"Note: This Blaster Coil Kit is intended to be used with an MSD Ignition. If installing on a stock, points style
ignition system, a 0.8 ohm ballast resistor or resistor wiring must be installed. MSD offers this
Ballast Resistor as PN 8214 or the Blaster Coil Kits, PN 8200 and 8203 are equipped with one."

Now, since I'm not really using the stock system, I can wire directly to the coil driver in MS2, (directly replacing my current 17KV coil), without a ballast resistor right?
The stock wires, FWIW, are 7mm.

You could probably run it like that, just set the dwell appropriately.
