I have a ms2 3.57 with an internal coil driver running a msd 7al box and I was wandering if there was any noise issues with the internal driver that would cause a miss? I scoped the crank signal and it never dropped out but the ms rpms go zero for a split second at the miss.any ideas or should I try an external driver? Im running a hall effect crank trigger

This is probably an input problem instead of an output problem. What sort of sensor are you using for RPM input?

Are you using the stock Magnum trigger wheel too?

NO the trigger wheel is a 24-1 homemade as part of the balancer (made it in my buddys mill)

Let me know what firmware you're running and I will see what diagnostic tools you can use to troubleshoot this.
Also, if you post your MSQ file, I can have a look at your settings.

i had a similar problem who ended up being a cold solder on the crank sensor circuit... you still have the welded in jumper wires with 3.57?
