Mass air flow meter

Just finishing off fitting my rover 3.5 with megasquirt MV3, need a Mass air flow unit, is there a unit that is recommended here or a standard hotwire unit from Fleabay or RPI,

I've been told it's not worth the bother - just stick with the vacuum sensor. I've got a 3.5 RV8 with MS2 V3.
