Looking at getting MS

Hi ive been lurking around here for a while now while i try and learn what all i will need to get my EFI going.
What were doing is converting our boat to EFI we found that our current intake manifold is ruined and we already had the new multiport EFI manifold and stuff bought for a future conversion.
well a new manifold is $280.00 and well MS for what i think we will need is about 400 so wth spend the little extra and get what we want. we are using a 1986 Tbird manifold on a 1974 ford 302(Rebuilt motor fresh from the shop)
my question is we want to run with the ford edis or a edis system do we need the edis module or will MS operate the coil packs.
also what all will we need
MS which version would it be better for us to get the MS III kit or should we just use the MS II kit
also which boards besides the stim will we need, I'm a little confused on this.
Also i would like to know if anyone has had any luck running a O2 sensor on a boat. With the water cooled exhaust manifolds i cant see how this wont destroy the O2 sensor.
any help so i don't waste cash or don't have to wait to order more parts will help
Thanks
