FPR... is vacuum used in TBI application?

I have a GM injector mounted in a Patton Machines SU HIF44 adaptor. The injector is mounted up-stream of the butterfly. I'm using an Aeromotive Fuel Pressure Regulator set to a nominal 12PSI.
My question is, should I connect a vacuum line from the FPR to a ported vacuum source or is this only done if the injector is on the down-stream side of the butterfly, eg ported injection? :?:

Vacuum is not used when the injector before the butterfly. When its above the butterfly there is not a pressure difference across the injector as there is when the injector is mounted after the butterfly. Exception to this is if i was running boost and needing the fuel pressure to rise 1:1 with boost. Im planning mine out now and i have to update my fuel pressure regulators in each of my tbi units.

Thanks for the hands up. Had a look at your site, keep going as the EFI conversion has made a lot of difference to my car. :D

FWIW, we installed a RRFPR between the return line on a TBI and the tank, and it was able to alter the fuel pressure accordingly.
