Question for Ford guys

Has anyone used a later Ford Hall-effect dizzy (where the ignition is separate, not TFI)? I have an external ignition box and single coil to use with my 351. The Megamanual talks about wiring a TFI module, but I wasn't sure how the later ('94-up) ones would/could be set up. This would be for MS2 v3 with timing and batch fire. I have a Duraspark that I guess I could lock out, but I can pick up this "TFI-less" dizzy cheap if it would work better and save me the time messing with the D-spark. I guess we're talking VR vs. Hall at that point. Thanks.

After digging in a little more, I see that all I need is 2 wires (the Hall/VR trigger) to the dizzy and the "points" connection to my CDI module using the V3 board. All I have to do is figure out which 2 wires it would be on the dizzy. My inexperience with the EFI distributors is to blame. I'm assuming there's 2 wires for the trigger, 1 for voltage, and a ground on the dizzy itself. More research needed, unless someone has the experience here.

It depends on the sensor. VR is usually a passive device which generates its own signal. Hall effect active which requires a power supply.
You can get two wire hall effect - but most I've seen have three. But dunno this particular dizzy.

Looks like the closed bowl TFI dist has 5 wires on it. The trick is figuring out which ones are power source, ground, and PIP trigger. Not having much luck finding a diagram yet. I'd like to be able to use it (and I'm sure I can) since I'm using a separate cdi box anyway.
