Megatune freezing

I was wondering if anyone could give me some idea why when I'm using megatune with the engine running it very often freezes. The only way to get it to come back is to unplug from the megasquirt and then plug back in. Sometimes itll run for quite awhile but other times megatune will only run for several seconds before freezing. This makes tuning very difficult. I thought mabye it was my laptop which is older but i loaded megatune on another computer much newer and the same thing is happening.
Thanks

What kind of injectors are you running? Im battling same issue on low impedance injectors. I removed then center leg of q9, q12 taking the 12v out through the harness to a separate 12v source. Its helped and once i get everything reassembled tomorrow ill know if recleaning the board was the other part of my issue. :RTFM:

Im running two low impedence injectors. What did you do solder wires to the pins and take it out of the computer through the harness on spare pins? Do you bring 12v to the center pins or does it supply 12v to the injectors?

I pulled the center legs up and ran a wire from each to spare 4. Then from Pin 6 on the db37 to a 12v source. :D I need to run a new wire from my ecm to my 12v under the hood. Also make sure that no plug wires or alternator wires are near your saw and pip. Ive chased a issue with that now for a while. Think I fixxed it today. :yeah!:

If you are using a USB adapter, I have seen some USB adapters that can make MegaTune freeze if they vibrate enough in their socket to come temporarily unplugged, even for a milisecond. I'd check that and see if it's an issue.

Also some cables just are not shielded very well. I have some cables that work fine on the bench for days, but if i take them in a real car, they will either drop connection or hang once I start driving do the road. I would recommend trying a new cable if the problem persists.

Ive tried 3 so far but only one is consistent. The cable is near my inverter and 12v flyback line. :RTFM: Still have my fair share of drops. Since my fuel pressure got changed ive been needing to retune and it aint happening.
