v8 multi injector wiring order?

What is the best wiring for a tpi chevy system. I read to wire one side of the motor to one bank. and the other to the other side(1,3,5,7---2,4,6,8,)
Then i read that (1,4,6,7---2,3,5,8) have a better idle.

The factory wired them left / right. Theoretically, the diagram above promotes smoother flow through the fuel rails. I'm not convinced it makes a big difference either way.

My RV8 was wired in left/right banks too - original Lucas. Left it like that which I went MS fuel only. When I went over to EDIS, I took the opportunity to change it to the above, since I had the loom out of the car. I do get a better idle - but that could just be EDIS. Don't think there are any downsides, so you might as well do it that way.

Does it matter what wire is positive or negative.

Nope.....
One wire goes to +12v and the other goes to MS.

sorry. i was clear on my question. Does it matter what side on the injectors.

No, it doesn't matter as long as Inj1 goes to one bank and Inj2 goes to the other.
