Bluetooth setting.

I've had exactly the same adapter that is for sale on your site, for a few years now.
Could you tell me what settings are needed to hook it to my MS2? I don't think my MS2 is wired as shown in the MegaManual, under Bluetooth, however.
Do I need a special cable, or just a gender changer? Do I need to take apart my MS2 and add the jumper wires shown in the MegaManual?

It may look the same and not actually be the same, but if it is...
The ATI1 command should show these settings:

Code: Select all

ATC=0, NONE FLOW CONTROL
ATD=0000-00-000000, NEVER SET BLUETOOTH ADDRESS
ATE=0, NEVER ECHO CHARACTERS
ATG=1, ENABLE ALL PAGE AND INQUIRY SCAN
ATH=1, DISCOVERABLE
ATK=0, ONE STOP BIT
ATL=5, BAUD RATE is 115200
ATM=0, NONE PARITY_BIT
ATN=EFI Analytics 06, LOCAL NAME
ATO=0, ENABLE  AUTO CONNECTING
ATP=1234, PIN CODE
ATQ=0, SEND RESULT CODE
ATR=1, SPP SLAVE ROLE
ATS=1, ENABLE AUTO-POWERDOWN OF RS232 DRIVER
ATX=0, NEVER CHECK '+++'
from default settings enter:
atx0
atc0
ate0
atl5

Then you do need a gender changer if yours didn't come with one. It is best to not use a null modem gender changer as that often doesn't pass through PIN 9 power. The switch on it will allow you to use either gender changer though.

Thank you.
Do I need to make a cable to tie the send and receive lines together from my MS2 if I don't have jumpers soldered in place already?

Nope, it is set up to not need the hand shake.

Thanks Phil.
One last question, (hopefully).
I can't use a gender changer directly to my Ms2. Due to it's location, I must use a short cable of some sort. Can i use a standard cable with a gender changer on the end of it?
Does the TxD pin from my BT connect to the RxD pin on the MS, and vise-versa?

No problem using a cable. Even if your RxD and TxD get reversed with a null modem, you can flip the switch on it and that will reverse the RxD and TdX on the BT Adapter.
