Auto Tuning based on log file

Hi,

Was wondering if anyone knows of an application that will make automatic tuning changes (or even just suggestions) based on a log file?

I don't want to do it in real-time because my WBO2 sensor sucks and keeps going into "warmup" mode. When in warmup mode it sends a false reading of 10.0:1 AFR.

What I'd like to do is to datalog a trip, then edit the log to remove all lines where the O2 sensor is sending false readings. Then I'd like to have an application make tuning changes/suggestions based on the eddited datalog.

Thanks!

Frankly, I would be correcting the problem with my wb controller and use the autotune function in TunerStudio.

It just seems like a lot of hassle to try to parse a log when TS works so well.

Just my thoughts of course....

Ken

EDIT: Not to mention, if the o2 is providing bad information I doubt that you can realize meaningful data from the log....

Fixing the problem means buying a new WBO2 controller which I'm not prepared to do.

When the O2 Sensor is not in warmup mode, the data it sends is perfectly correct and it's easy to tell when it's gone into warmup mode. So yes, the log provides plenty of good information. You just need to ignore about 5% of it where the sensor keeps going into warmup (typically when cruising at low throttle, coasting, or at idle).

Is the sensor a long way down the exhaust? And or protruding too far into the stream so it's running cold? Some tips here:-

It's within 10" of the turbo and using the bung provided with the sensor/kit. So no, that's not the problem. Although I'm sure if I was running stock cast-iron exhaust manifolds it wouldn't be an issue.

I've determined that my wideband is a POS. Way too sensitive to power/grounding issues, way too many problems with warmup, etc. The internet/forums are full of people having problems with them (Innovate Motorsports LC1).

FWIW.......

That has been my total experience with LC-1......

I have 3 of them I use for paper weights!

It sounds like you're asking about MegaLogViewer's VE Analyzer function.

Thanks Matt! I did some research and it looks like this is exactly what I am looking for.
