Tunerstudio goes offline

I'm new to this so bear with me.

I have a MSII V3.57 with tunerstudio. Currently setting up the system and seeing if it will work. Carb is still on the engine, so i'm looking at the O2 sensor, coolant sensor and map. I can get those readings and it works as long as she idles. As soon as I rev the engine tunerstudio goes offline. I get a warning saying something about the comcable to the ecu being noisy. This is a com to usb cable that I'm working with.

MS and relay board are connected via an electrical relay directly to the battery. The ground is also directly to the battery. The + is switched via attachment on the ignition wires

Any ideas ?

Thanks

Yep, sounds like serial noise.
USB is the more susceptible part, so look at that first. there is more on this here:

No, this is a generic usb to com adapter. It's not shielded. Can I just wrap alu foil around it to shield it ?

Well so much for that idea. I didn't work. Shielding off the ignition didn't help either.
