Gm 4 pin module

I have a recent MS 3.57 from DIYAutoTune. I can use either b&g or extra. I currently have a bbc running a msd billet low profile dist connected to an external gm 4 pin module. I have been running fuel only on 2 other cars for years with high success but haven't had good success with ignition. So what I would like to do is trigger the 3.57 from the output of the 4 pin (using the resistor mod between power and output) and then send MS output to a msd box via the msd white wire. I have a drilled plate that goes over the advance pins to lock the dist out. I know that there is other and probably better ways to do this but the reason for asking about this method is I can work on it on weekend and with a simple harness switch I can be back to a running car that I can drive the rest of the week. So question is will that work?

In that case, you'd treat the HEI module like a points input.
