Hello,

I have decided to take the plunge and put together a MS2 V3.0 and I am running code version 2.92. The assembly seemed to be going well up until step# 66 with all the simulator (V2.2) pots working correctly in tuner studio so on to completion I went. After the case was fully assembled I decided to try to check the boards function again to see if all was still well, but no RPM or O2 signal or led's? I have been probing the board per the troubleshooting guide, but have not found issue yet. I found a page that suggested to test U4. When I ground to Q1 or Q5 I get nothing and U4 is operating fine which suggest that "the transistor in the current limiting circuit (Q14 or Q15) has shorted out and needs to be replaced." R15 and 20 test ok. Could this be related issues? What would have caused the short?

I would not test the injector drivers at this point; first get RPM working. How do you have it set up for RPM input? Can you post a copy of your tune?

I have the MS2 set up for the VR circuit. (TACHSELECT-VRIN) (TSEL-VROUT) (IGBTOUT-IGN). I am wanting to use a 36-1 wheel with a hall sensor with coil packs. I know I need to constructing duplicates of this BIP373 circuit, so theres a few more components I need to add, but if I wired the MS2 right I should be able to test it now.

You'll likely need to adjust the VR input to get it to read from a Stim. And again for the actual sensor on your car - as they don't generate identical signals. Try adjusting R56 about 6 turns clockwise from the rest position.

If you want to generate the same signal as a 36-1 wheel does, you'll need a JimStim.

It sounds like you'll also need to use Extra Code, which is covered on a different forum to this one - there's a link at the top of the page. Also use the manual you'll find in that site - not the one on here. As B&G code (here) doesn't cater for multiple coils.

However, you can use B&G code (which you've got loaded) and a Stim to check you've built the unit properly.
