Buzzing injector after jump start battery

During a Jumpstart the motor fired as usual and was cold, so revving a bit to keep running as normal, and just ran worse and quit. All on charger. Now 1 buzzing injector, no spark, no injector prime shot on the key on. Tested the processor 40 pin for 5 volts in all 9 spots. All good there. Should I continue thru serial and clock testing as well. Any shortcuts? I've done a thorough visual, nothing burnt , no smell. Anything on relay bd to look at? If I can't find what are the options? Send it somewhere, buy another board and reload program? I'm wondering if a repair makes sense spending money there or going to MS III 3.57.
I have MSII, 2.886. Going to MSIII I could do coil on plug and ditch EDIS.
been great for six years, never thought it would work but it did ! Kinda lost.

STIM, lights pump light momentarily, IGN stays lit.

The fact that you have no spark leads me away from the MS, at least for now, and makes me suspect the EDIS module may have malfunctioned.

BTW... does MS still connect to TS?

Ken

After thought..... this is exactly why I am very edgy about using battery chargers/jumpstarting any vehicle with EFI. It is much better to charge the battery with the key off, and then start the engine after disconnecting the cables. In the old days it wasn't too big of a deal..... Not so today!

The megasquirt is always hot on the battery, is there a trigger wire from the ignition switch? I can't remember. , just thinking out loud maybe I'm not triggering the board although the pump relay comes on

How hot are we talking here?

MS certainly should be powered when the ignition switch is turned on.

Does MS get "hot" on the Stim also?

Ken

Does it read rpm on Tunerstudio? No LED activity from the INJ1 and INJ2 LEDs? With RPM set low on the Stim you should see them flash.

If there is no tach signal (RPM) MS won't inject.

No the board doesn't get hot, when I say hot I mean it's connected directly to the battery except for the trigger lead and I just can't remember if it required a trigger lead from the key? Its been 3 years since Scott Clark tune the car so I went back an updated tunerstudio I'm looking for the cable as we speak I'm going to hook the stim to it and see if I can read to the serial port without going through the assembly testing mode. I'm really not very knowledgeable on electronic stuff even though I managed to build this and make it work for 6 years. What would you do? Send the board off for repair or a new CPU upgrade megasquirt 3? I want to go to the 1AC coils, at some point and I know I can put the circut on this board and accomplish that. 3 outta 4 toys down running outta good weather. Kinda down a bit.

STIM, the ignition switch stays lit no rpm lights on the stim, fuel pump cycles that's it. No spark on crank or prime shot when the key is turned on

The fuel pump priming at switch on means the processor is sending the correct pulse. Which is a good start.

Did your Stim once work ok with the exact configuration you're using for EDIS? I assume you're using the opto input? It's difficult to fault find pulses without a 'scope. With one, you could easily look at the pulses from the Stim (or EDIS) into the opto coupler and the pulses out of it. If you are not seeing RPM on Tunerstudio (no sync) that is the first thing to sort, as not much else will happen without it. But it does look like you may have more than one fault.

wont connect to tuner studio. No led flashes. I havent changed the computer or cable but not sure to verify connection with laptop. I went to mini terminal and fooled around with no results. its not reading on the tunerstudio screen. says offline.

Im not sure what I did before to connect to the board. just plug it in and power up? Stim should work for power right?

Were you once able to communicate with TS on the same laptop or whatever using the same cables etc? Just to avoid chasing your tail?

Ok its communicating with the laptop ,tps moves IAT moves, coolant moves, MAP is reading, RPM does not, O2 moves when I reboot stim.
Question does the relay board affect the injector pulses at all? is there a way to test the ign circut and injector circuts?

Right - the first thing to do is get the rpm reading on TS, as MS won't really do anything without it.

I guess Ill go back thru the assembly tests for the ign circuit and injector circuits and see if I can find a failure. even then I wont be sure how to trouble shoot a circuit and replace a bad part. the stim isnt making the board respond and flash a single inj LED, so Im ASSUMING those circuit(s) may be bad. Since Ive tested the battery 8. 65 volts. so theres where it started. bad battery then the charger just did the knockout punch while cranking.
Nothing is visually burnt or hot looking on the board. no stink. So do the assembly circuits tests next?
