Re: COP vs wasted spark

I think I worded this wrong.

I'm using a Ford wasted sprk coil right now. I was thinking about going to Sequential spark.

Would there be any advantage of sequential spark over the wasted spark setup I'm running now?

COP vs wasted spark

Is there an advantage? I'm sure it's been asked before but I can't seem to find the info. I'm looking for. if anyone has links please post them I am running wasted spark right now but I've been thinking of maybe doing sequential and LS2 coils. The engine is a NA 4 cylinder, Not a performance engine ...

Re: wiring LC-2 into the relay board

You could power it from the fuel pump relay or a separate relay triggered by a split from the switched power wire. Thanks Matt, Innovate said not to wire it into the FP relay because of the surging of the pump and the on and off of the relay of the pump. I'm trying to avoid a separate relay if poss...

wiring LC-2 into the relay board

I have read about as much as I can find on this but couldn't find the answer. I have my LC-1 wired to the relay board and it seemed to work fine. The car sat for a while and while trying to restart it, the LC-1 died. I notice that Innovate is now recommending fuses and a separate relay. Can I wire t...

Re: LC-1 not working

I'm not sure I even have that capability. I have the CD with the LC-1 manual. Is there a program in there that I can try to connect to?

LC-1 not working

My car has been sitting for about 1.5 years. Upon firing it up the other day, I noticed the LC-1 was not working. I whent through the steps for free air cal. and I did not get an E2 code. When the key is turned to the ON posistion, There are just three bars displayed on the gauge. When I push the bu...

Re: intake manifold design help

Thanks for the reply. What will create better low end torque, a split or open plenum? I am guessing that If I design a split plenum manifold, two TB's are in order. Also, I have a 30mm bore TB that I would like to use. I have done calcs. in the MM and other web sites that suggest this will work just...

intake manifold design help

what would be a better setup for a twin cyl. engine? single TB or Dual TB? split plane or open plenum manifold? I've been reading that a single TB is better for a low RPM engine. The engine I am converting will only see about 4,000 rpm max. I want something that will give nice, controllable throttle...

Re: struggling to find external fuel pump

since this is a small engine, it will not require alot of fuel. Fuel pressure, I would imagine, would NOT be all that high, and everything is exposed and not confined in a heat retaining area, such as under a hood or similar. My guess would be that things will be fine. If this was a high HP producer...

Re: struggling to find external fuel pump

There are those style of pumps made for FI bikes. For what you are doing, your probably better off finding a run of the mill external atuomotive style pump. They would be easier to find and cheaper.

Re: struggling to find external fuel pump

That's the pump I was refering to. If all you need is a pump to run your system, and there are no other constraints, any pump will do. If you are running a return style system, fuel heating won't be an issue.. If you decide to buy a pump like the one you have pictured, please take a reading of the a...

Re: struggling to find external fuel pump

What are the needs of you project? I.E. fow rate, amp draw....? There are some other external fuel pump from street bikes that are avail on ebay. you should be able to find them under 07zx600. They are capable of 50psi( which is what the street bikes run) and should have low amp draw. Also, Wlabro h...

I looked into Tb injection, this engine is an exposed A/C engine on a boat. the intake man. has long runners to the head and in cold condtions (which it sees all the time for it's type of use), it will ice up. The way the engine is set up, there is no problem with intake heating. Keith

Thank's guy's, Lance, the reason I am trying to do this is to reduce the current draw of the fuel pump. I do have inj's. that are a lower flow rate and are better suited for this app. but would require running the pump at 40psi. Just trying to weasle around my engine perameters :D Keith

The engine is a 992cc, 2cyl. V twin. The intake is hard to describe. It is on the tall side and from what I can tell is made to create lots of air velocity for low end torque. the openings are about 30mm. The inj. will be mounted approx. 3 inches above the head (best location I can find for the conv...
