Re: How to monitor fuel pressure?

I think most FPRs have a tap for a gauge. Look on Summit's site and you should find what you need.

Re: Converting to Alpha-N

I might of figured out what I'm doing wrong. Do you leave the Fueling_Algorithm set to Speed Density in the Configurator even though you want to use Alpha N? So you only change the Control Algorithm in MT under Injector Control and leave the Fueling_Algorithm in the Configurator set to Speed Density ...

Converting to Alpha-N

I'm running 2.886 code on a Microsquirt. So far I've only run speed density. Now I'm trying to start a "new project" in the Configurator so I can try Alpha-N also - without loosing any of my speed density "car1" project.

How do I get started with this? Do I take one of my existing speed density msq ...

Re: ITBs and fuel pressure regulators

I'm running ITB's with the diode SynchroMAP board so I don't have an accumulator. I'm using an Aeromotive regulator. Initially I tried connecting it to the vacuum line from one runner but the pressure bounced so much at idle it caused surging. So I've done all my tuning since without the vacuum ...

Re: Fuel Press. Regulator Recomendations?

My project (normally aspirated port injection - I don't use the vacuum connection) has been running for a few weeks using the same Aeromotive as mentioned above (from Summit). As noted, a little pricey, but looks really nice and has worked well for me. I ordered a Mallory at first but didn't use it ...

Re: EDIS plug wires

Here is another take on this. On a wasted spark 4 cylinder, there are 2 different orientations you can mount the coil by rotating it 90 degrees. If the wires that you have are all different lengths, there are 4 different wires to choose from for the first position on the coil, that leaves 3 wire to ...

Re: DIY Tuning - how to begin?

I've just recently got my EFI and DIS conversion running for the first time and I'm just starting to work on tuning. (THANKS BRUCE AND AL!!) I'm starting from scratch - I don't have any tables to use from another engine etc. And I'm a complete noob. The overall general question I’m wondering ...

From the manual - right under the MAP sensor info:

Don't worry about how long your MAP sensor vacuum hose is. Intuitively it seems that shorter should be better. However, a few people have done tests to see how bad the effect of a long hose was on vacuum signal propagation. With a ~100 foot (~30 ...
