Re: WUE and new heads

Idles fine when it is warmed up. AFR is around 12.8 to 13.0. The old heads were cast iron and the new ones are aluminum.

WUE and new heads

I have a 350 chevy running MS1 on fuel only. I had the thing tuned pretty well and it would start on a 0 degree day and run up to operating temperature without any fuss and no throttle needed. Over the winter I switched to new cylinder heads that increased the compression ratio from 8.5 to about 9.5 ...

Flying Magnet

I have a question on ignition set up. I am currently using MS1 fuel only with a fliyng magnetic set up to trigger MS1. I had too much noise in my ignition and could not get a clean signal. I am going to convert to MS2 for ignition also. Looking at the ignition set up, will the set up be the same as ...

Re: chevy distributor

So, in your opinion, leaving the mechanical advance functioning would help the alignment of the rotor and cap as MS2 advances the spark. Since I will be using the crank trigger rather than the pickup in the distributor, it would not effect the timing at all.

Re: chevy distributor

The distributor is mechanical and vacuum currently. So, the width of the rotor is enough to cover all the advance needed? That would be sweet since the am very happy with my current ignition set up but want to switch to computer control. With a crank trigger, the initial timing is set at the crank ...

chevy distributor

I currently am running MS1 on fuel only. Will be upgrading to MS2 for fuel and spark. I am confused about the distributor situation. I have an aftermarket distributor that I can lock both mechanical and vacuum advance on. I am using a crank trigger since I could not get a good signal from the ...

Re: Software Reflash

The decel is set at 100% right now. I will do some playing this weekend. I just got my o2 sensor back today from being fixed(replaced). I will see if it is lean or rich. It almost feels rich but the 02 sensor will tell me the truth. It is just nice to have to thing run very well every well else. I ...

Software Reflash

After battling many issues that would come and go, I think I finally got to the bottom of the problems. My fuel pump would not come on all the time. Could never get it to fail on the bench. My coolant temp sensor sometimes would not read at all. Turning it on and off would sometimes fix the problem ...

MAP sensor placement

I am having trouble finding a place to put the controller under the dash of my car. Just not enough room and still be accessible. I am thinking of putting in the trunk. First of all, an pros and cons of putting it in the trunk? Second of all, with that long of distance between the MAP sensor and the ...
