Re: VE Table changes

Also when I check the required fuel under VE able, it shows the new number. I get numbers like 159, 147, ect. Can I do this with Tuner Studio?

Re: VE Table changes

I go to injector control under fuel set up and enter the new injector size and it goes from 9.2 with the 20lb injector to 4.4 with the 42lb injector. I am working off line when doing this.

Re: VE Table changes

Thanks Matt. Do I have to change required fuel in the ECU before it affects the VE table? Just doing that off line still gives me very large numbers.

VE Table changes

When I change the required fuel from 9.2 to 4.4, I get very large numbers in the VE table. I am changing from 20lb injectors to 42 lb for the new turbo addition. I would think the numbers would be smaller for larger injectors? Am I wrong?

Turbo fuel systems

The MS manual for turbos states that a MS ECU will compensate for boost without the need for a Rising Rate FPR. Does this still hold true. I plan on running 8lbs boost on a street car. It is a 2275cc ACVW with 8.1 comp, 40 lb injectors, 52mm TB. MS2, 2.286, V3.

IAC Question

Hello, My issue is a IAC valve that will not Idle down unless I turn the engine off and restart. It then goes to the proper setting. This works every time after the engine warms up. I have MS11, 2.886, V3, Relay Board, LC-1, EDIS, Chrysler 3.3 L V/6 TB and IAC valve. This is on a 2276 ACVW. This is ...

Re: IAC and starting

Thanks for the replys. This is on a 1971 VW Karmann Ghia, so safety latches and such were never part of the car. I guess the designers felt that anyone driving a stick new how to operate it correctly? I spent many years push and coasting starting all kinds of vehicles. I just wonderd if the MS and E...

IAC and starting

My IAC is on a Chrysler TB and almost works corectly. The engine starts cold fine and warms up with the faster idle. The issue is I have to turn the engine off and restart for the Idle to come down where it should be. As long as the engine is warm, it idles fine. Cold engine, idle stays high. During...

Re: Another IAC head scratcher!

Hello friend! I was begining to think I was the only one with a vw and a chrysler TB. I am having the same basic issues that you mention. I will look at your sugestions tomorow. How did you wind up wiring the IAC to the relay board? I have tried every combination possible? Mine either extends on pow...

Re: Coolant sensor readings

Hey phj420,
Thanks for the info. Your numbers put my temp readings spot on. Now if the IAC would cooperate, life would be great. Again thanks.

Re: Coolant sensor readings

That sounds good. I will use some numbers from another squirter that are working for his VW and see how that works. If I can get the temps and the IAC steps working together, I think I am very close to having everything else where it should be.

Matt,
I have 2490 for the bias resistor value. Is this correct?

Re: Coolant sensor readings

Thanks for the reply,
I used the same method as you discribe when I set up the MT. I may still have the old numbers somewhere? I notice that after I input new numbers in the thermister table and come back later, that the old default numbers appear in the table. Is this normal?

Coolant sensor readings

I am using the CB Performance 7132 coolant sensor in my ACVW. MT reads 80 degrees when engine is 40 degrees. I have used the thermister calculator and used the resistance figures that came from CB. 185 at 210 deg, 3400 at 70 deg, and 7500 at 40 deg. This did not change the readings at all. As you ca...
