Any way to use a tach signal like this?

I'm trying to use the Tach signal wire on my 97 GSXR to control a fuel only MS. The weird thing is the ignitor box shows 12v on the tach wire at 0rpm and seems to bring it low to pulse the tach. Thanks for the tip. I might just use the VB921 after all. That was the article I used to help configure mine, actually. At the bottom iirc it said "if anyone had any info on using the power transistor we'd love to hear about it," which initially caught my attention since it meant it might be ...
