Thanks. The reason I asked was that I had some plugs leads made for my Edis 4 and they said in a rather derogatory tone ' awe you're mounting the coil on the body'. I came away thinking about it and realized that all oem stuff has the coil mounted on the motor. I though that having the coil on the ...

Coil Location

I intend using Edis but I think this would apply to most ignition systems. Is it OK to mount the coil on the body of a vehicle or should it be mounted directly onto the motor. I note that most manufacturers mount their coils direct to the motor.

VR Sensor Orientation with EDIS

My VR sensor is sourced from an English vehicle. It is the type that has the connector plug at 45 deg to the sensor body. Given that the sensor is magnetic and presumably has N and S poles, is there a preferred orientation to the trigger wheel.
