Re: throttle plate idle control

Hi John,
keith (type26owner) from lotuselan.net mucked about with this sort of thing for balancing his webers..
his experience seemed to be positive, althought it involved a lot of fiddling about!
Cheers

KN6 or KN4aa..
Still leaves a range of flow rates!

Re: Voltage too high from VR

Wahey!!!! Sucess.. tried starting the car using MS for ignition.. first turn of the key she fired! then 30 mins of firing, running roughly for 30 secs then dieing.. then switch the VR leads and voila! steady idle.. Had to leave it at that as it is blowing a gale so cannot work with garage doors open...

Re: Voltage too high from VR

Aha... may have sorted it.. I was trying to look at the output from the VR sensor using the MS while the engine was running on a distributor based ignition. (this doesn't seem to work, perhaps because of electrical noise?) however I noticed that if I started the engine, the MS picked up the RPM befo...

Re: Voltage too high from VR

Its a 36-1 missing tooth.
The teeth are cut into the crank pulley and the sensor is held using a commercial bracket.
I have routed the cable to keep away from the coil and dizzy on the existing ignition (although it is within 10-15 cm at one point)
Is this what you mean?

Voltage too high from VR

Just fitted a ford VR sensor to my lotus twincam. Can't get a signal on my MSII.. Checked the wiring, fine.. Checked the AC voltage from the sensor when running: 3.5v @ 600 rpm is this too high? Could this be why I don't get a signal on my MSII..? If not, what could it be? Cable is shielded... Shoul...

Re: Using existing temp gauge with megasquirt sensor

Was otherwise wondering whether there was some kind of pulse width hardware that would convert the resistance of the new sensor into pulses that would simulate the current through the old sensor, allowing the old gauge to work properly

Re: Using existing temp gauge with megasquirt sensor

Thanks matt,
Guess I better measure the resistance of the senders!

honda CBR1000 injectors

Anyone had any experience of using honda CBR1000 injectors in a car?
If yes, any idea of the flow rate?

Using existing temp gauge with megasquirt sensor

Hi all, Please excuse this question if it has been answered 100 times before, but this is my first post! i have just got a megasquirt which I plan to use for a '73 lotus twincam.. My question is, if I use the original megasquirt water temperature sensor, is there any way of taking a signal from this...
