Re: Megaview TPS voltage display

Update. Upgraded to 2.920. Recal of TPS would last for a few days then back to the 15 some volt reading at idle (not consistent) instead of 0 volts displayed in Megaview as it should be. Changed TPS and recal with same results. Problem has to be mechanical in Edelbrock Throttle Body. Throttle shaft ...

Diagnostics and High Speed Logging greyed out

Upgraded to Tuner Studio MS and 2.920. Everything seems to be working fine except Diagnostics and High Speed Logging grayed out. In my research I believe 2.920 supports this feature. Any ideas?

Megaview TPS voltage display

Megaview displays TPS voltage at idle of 15.3 volts. Just off idle .4 volts as is should be. TPS is correctly calibrated with ADC counts and
dataLog shows 0 at idle. Any ideas why 15.3 volts would be displayed. That voltage is not even at the TPS. Thanks.

Ignition Knock at start up

A good 95% of the time a have a Preignition Knock at start up on a warm engine. It occurs only at the transition from crank to run. I can see the resulted RPM and Ignition timing drop in the attached MSLs. I have attached two MSLs and one MSQ. MSL 5.1 121109 has the cranking trigger set to trigger r...

Re: Second Sensor for Continuous Baro Correction

Went back and rechecked wiring, not getting 5 v to sensor. problem was at ground on non banded side of D1. Moved ground to neg in proto area and works fine now. Does anyone see any problem with using neg in proto area?

Re: Second Sensor for Continuous Baro Correction

Thanks, you were right, pin one thru resistor and pin 3 to 5 volts. I wired it up tonight and all i get is 260 kPa reading so sensors not working. It there 5 volts at 5 v location in proto area or do i need to pull in 5 volts?

Second Sensor for Continuous Baro Correction

Not uncommon for me to drive from sea level to 14,000 feet. I want to be set up for real time Baro correction. During my research, I believe this is what I need: MX4250AP sensor, Pin 1 to JS5, Pin 2 to ground (non-banded side of D1 which my configuration dosent use D1 so the hole is ready to use), P...

Re: Advance spike at start up.

I think i have the answer to my question-let me know if im wrong (wont be the first time)! I currently have my trigger offset at 31 degrees. Because MS uses this during the crank cycle or when comm is lost, this is why im getting a 31 degree "spike". To correct this problem i need to rerun...

Re: Stepper IAC not seating at 255 pulses

Thanks for the replys. When i had it wired backwards, i litterly shot it off the threads. It will travel far enough to seal if i can get it to move past 255 steps, Im hopeing editing the ini will allow me to move it further than 255!

Re: Stepper IAC not seating at 255 pulses

The stepper motor came with the throttle body from edelbrock. In doing some more research, it appears that the max steps (255) can be extended further. I believe i can edit 2.890 ini line 230 (IAC min steps 1 - 255) to say 1 - 300. Is this all i need to do?

Stepper IAC not seating at 255 pulses

Im using an Edelbrock Throttle Body with GM Stepper IAC. The strepper extends and retracts as required, but will not seat it the bore even when extended at 255. Above 255 the motor dosent extend any more. I used a little ball of modelers clay to see if the pintle actually seats, it wont. I know its ...

Re: Check my sensor please.

Ive seen this type sensor arrangement used widely in Wheel Balancers to sense shaft location. The shutter wheel is usually pretty fragile because its thin and made of brass. I dont know if it would be very dependable in an automotive environment - just food for thought.
