Tuning with flat 2D Table Instead of 3D

When selecting Tuning > Fuel VE Table 1, is it possible to have a 2D table view there instead of the 3D table? I like the flat table view in Basic Setup > Fuel VE Table 1, but there aren't any gauges in that view, so I can't tune from it. I guess what I'd like is something very similar to the VE ...

Re: VE Live tunning question

Because the table is still rough there were times when it was either max lean or max rich, so that would make sense... However, even when the gauge was in the normal range, it was still reading O2 out of range. I found another post that talked about disabling the deadlambda entries in the ini file ...

Re: VE Live tunning question

I should probably mention that I'm roughing out a new VE table, so AFRs might be a little wonky at first. In the olden days I would have gotten it close by hand (which I have) and then do a few logging runs by driving up and down the street and then feeding the logs into the VE analysis thing in MLV ...

Re: VE Live tunning question

I'm getting "O2 out of range" most of the time. Any idea what might be the cause? Thanks!

Re: VE Live tunning question

Sorry to piggyback on this, but I think my question is similar.

Does VE Live require EGO control to be enabled or does it just compare the AFR target table with the actual AFR and adjust accordingly? My wideband is setup, but I don't have the EGO control enabled at this time.

Thanks,
Robert

Re: TPS Connector for '98 - '99 Suzuki GSXR Throttle Bodies

Hi Sam,

Sorry for the confusion... This is a great question. I went down the same road you're on now and eventually decided a simple choke cable would be best for me. My solution works extremely well, but didn't really further my megasquirt knowledge. Before going the manual router, I was leaning ...

Re: TPS Connector for '98 - '99 Suzuki GSXR Throttle Bodies

Hi Sammy,

The GSXR throttle bodies I'm using have a simple set screw to control idle. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,
Robert

Re: TPS Connector for '98 - '99 Suzuki GSXR Throttle Bodies

Hi, sorry for the delay... I did find the connectors, but I don't remember what car I found them on. I think it was a Kia or some such small Korean vehicle. I just kept walking around the salvage yard until I found the correct connector. Best of luck!

Injector Bung Plug

Hi everyone,

I'm going to be running individual throttle bodies that have a bung for a fuel injector that I would like to plug because I will be using the injector bungs that are built into the cylinder head instead. I searched around and found these ( http://www.efihardware.com/products/645 ...

Re: Routing Hard Lines - Trans Tunnel or Frame Rail?

More good info, thanks guys! I bought a roll of 3/8" hard line, so I'm using it for feed and return. Doing a -6 sleeve and nut on the hard lines and then I'll just do a nice -6 line to my FPR, fuel filter, fuel rail, etc. Nice and simple. Probably expensive to do all -6 lines, but whatever... you ...

Thanks guys, good info. I think I've found a nice clear safe path along the frame rail.

Routing Hard Lines - Trans Tunnel or Frame Rail?

Hi everyone,

Just want to get a quick feel for where everyone is routing their hard fuel lines on vehicles that didn't come equipped with factory EFI. I'm not sure if the transmission tunnel is best (up and out of the way) or if most just route along the underside of the body or frame rail, etc ...

Two questions: Surge tanks and return lines

Hi everyone,

I'm working on a new project, and I'm at the point where I'm trying to sort out the fuel delivery system. The car was originally carbureted, so no in-tank pump and return lines, etc. The motor I'm installing is a 2.3L Ford Duratec and it doesn't seem to use a return line. In fact, the ...

Looking to Fill 11mm (Denso) Injector Holes in GSX-R ITBs

Does anyone sell plugs to fill injector holes? I am moving my injectors from the GSX-R throttle bodies to the intake manifold so they are situated directly behind the intake valves. I will need to fill the holes left by the injectors that used to be in the throttle bodies. I seem to recall seeing ...

Does anyone know what most OEMs currently do as far as injector firing? Sequential, 2 or 4 simultaneous, 2 or 4 alternating, etc? Does it differ by country of origin? Do the Japanese do one thing while the Germans do something entirely different, for example?

Thanks,
Robert

Let us know how it works out.

When you switch to 4 squirts, you may need to retune your VE table a bit unless you have your injector opening time setup nearly perfectly. It's not a huge problem, but something to be aware of.

A lot of people with ITBs (myself included) have had good success with 4 squirts alternating. Also, the latest beta code (with faster MAP sampling?) or the MSII Extra beta code (with faster MAP sampling and EAE) are supposed to help a lot with lean tip in. Oh, a vacuum accumulator thing may help too ...

Too low for me so I fitted green densos off a Toyota 7MGE
Are you sure they were Denso, or were they keihin? Curious because I'm running the same injectors and I thought there were 240cc/min.

Thanks,
Robert

There's some good info here. Not sure if you've checked it out yet, but it might be a good starting point.
