Re: tip in?

Thanks for the advice.

I did a little work on tuning this morning and have smoothed things out quite a bit. Idles a lot better. Revs up a lot smoother. Have a nasty hole around 3300 rpm... Have to figure that one out.

As far as the tip-in, i'll look into that too.

tip in?

hey guys On my MSII I am having difficulty finding a solution to my problem. When I initially press the throttle when switching gears the engine jerks quite badly unless I use 5% or less throttle when switching gears. If I gently apply throttle and roll through the gears eventually getting to WOT, t...

Re: Idling problem

Finally got around to working on the warm-up enrichment's. I had to increase them a whole lot from the defaults to get the car to idle. Has a steady idle of around 800. Thanks for the heads up about warm-up enrichment's. Now I just have to figure out why my AFR's are whacked out and why my rear bank...

Re: Stock Tach

Bought an Autometer Tach Adapter. Wired it with the instructions provided. Basically the power wire from the EDIS module TO the Coil is sent to the tach adapter instead and then there is a wire coming out of the tach adapter that then goes to the coil providing power.

Worked like a charm.

Re: Idling problem

MSII v3.0 Basically I had a friend who is a tuner for Eclipses take a screen shot of a tune he made for this engine in the stock car. I just loaded in the afr and ign stuff and it fired right up. I haven't really messed with the warm up enrichment's. I'll read that page you posted and then see what ...

Idling problem

Hey all, I have to hold the throttle open to keep the car running until it warms up a bit. The engine idles around 1000-1200 and bounces up and down a bit. When I try and rev the engine it sputters then revs, but if I hit the throttle 100% it bogs down and doesnt really do much. What should I be loo...

Stock Tach

Ive tried searching and I have a general idea how to get my stock tach to work via Megasquirt. My question is how do I wire it up exactly? In Tunerstudio under Outport port settings there is a list on the left of stuff I can configure. My issue is that the Outport port setting choices do not corresp...

Re: EDIS 6 spark plug wires

Ok, you don't understand what i'm asking. On the coil pack there is a 4 pin plug. One pin is for power, the others connect to the EDIS 6 module for coil firing. What I need to know is, which pin corresponds to it's associating 2 coils! What I am saying is, I'm assuming that the coils go from ABC lef...

Re: USB---> serial Adaptor

hmmmm now I get this. I had to change the verbosity under the settings menu of the downloader to 5 to get this result. This is using the DIYAutoTune adapter. I found that the DIYAutoTune adapter makes itself com4 and the bestbuy adapter makes itself com 1. So if you say the DIYAutoTune one is better...

Re: USB---> serial Adaptor

I have never communicated with this Megasquirt.

I don't know if I have loaded firmware. So assume no.
