Re: EDIS4 missing tooth 90 degrees behind

Check it with a timing light - when the engine is set to 48 degrees advance, are you in fact getting 48 degrees of advance? If you are not, what is the real advance amount?
Me too, i couldn't start my engine for a week wondering why, i re-checked everything but helplessely;
then i checked with a ...

Ecu in car location

Hello , I'm planning on installing my ms2 box in the dash in front of me, the ecu will be directly below the pioneer headunit;
Will the headunit make any electrical noise or interference on the ECU?
I find it to be the best place because of wiring simplicity and communication...

Re: Electrical fan wiring

FIDLE will supply ground to turn on a relay, but you must use a relay to control the fan as they need a lot of startup current.

Do not ground a fan to the sensor ground under any circumstances. They can be grounded to the chassis or engine block.
Then, how to wire the fan and the FIDLE cable to ...

Electrical fan wiring

I'm about to wire an electrical fan to my ms2 v3 ecu, I don't use an idle stepper valve, so i'm thinking of using the FIdle wire to the fan , and ground the other terminal of the fan to the car chassis, or to the sensor ground, which one is better ???
And does it work ?

Re: Switch type tps

I built this some years ago when I started my first Megasquirt project. The pictures are small, but it should give you the idea.

+ 1, i'd like to ask you, are those tps's compatible with the fj rotating shaft, because it's clock wise and 8mm shaft, so if it's compatible i'll buy one from e-bay ...

Second map sensor for baro correction

Hi guys, i've read the MS layout of the v3 pcb about the constant baro correction but didn't understand the point well;
Can anyone tell me what really is the constant baro correction ? Shouldn't the built-in map sensor correct the baro values?

Re: Switch type tps

I had to deal with the same issue when I had my CA20E engine. I used a later style TPS from a Maxima or 240SX. The later sensors have shorter mounting ears and two connectors. I made a bracket to go over the sensor and connect it to the throttle body. I can take a picture tomorrow if you want.
Ok ...
