I will use the cap and see if it clears up. I will also verify polarity on the VR sensor.

To fix the cam being 180 out you could just rotate the crank 360 degrees. That would correct the 180 degree cam phasing problem.

I reversed the polarity on the VR sensor. It didn't make much difference. After logging with the sensor reversed I was comparing the new polarity to the old in regard to trigger +/-. With the old polarity the +/- would only add between 1500rpm and 2500rpm. This happens like ...

The only changes between the log and the current tune are VE table changes. My current logs all began with it running.

MSII 3.57 2.890 36-1 MSD6AL cranks 3 sec. before ign or fuel

I am using a ford vr sensor on a 6-1/2" 36-1 wheel. I have the car tuned well up to about 90kpa. I have been driving it for tuning purposes with great results. HOWEVER!! When I am cranking it it takes about 2-1/2 seconds to get a tach signal. It will only give me ignition and fuel for 3-5 ignition ...

Ok I got it running.
I had no ignition driver. I installed a tip120 transistor from Radioshack. I don't recall the jumper configuration. I will post it soon. The tip120 has to be isolated from the heatsink with a mica plate. It took me a while to figure this out.

I completely understand the function and limited abilities of a knock sensor. The only purpose that I can find for the knock sensor is maximizing the AFR/timing advance at cruising speed.
